a little trick

Not very proud to be publishing this trick but I learnt this from Angela Wilcox at Trinity (not sure the "organic/artistic/every-meal-is-a work-of-art"  crowd would approve, but! here it is, it works!
Basically you can put any veggie in the microwave and because they have some water, they cook! they become soft, and you can eat them like you have steamed them. I know....not very elegant, but just in case you're stuck! It works with potatoes, peppers, sparragus, etc....also I use this trick to soften up hard veggies that would otherwise took forever to cook in the oven. Try it! thanks Angela!!!!
